Thursday, February 6, 15 persons have died trying to cross the border between Ceuta in Morocco. This new tragedy reveals, once again, how EU policies, and more specifically, in this case, the policy of the Spanish government, seriously undermine the rights and are the cause of suffering and death hundreds of people each year.

The many attempts to overcome the barriers of Ceuta and Melilla, in recent days, reflect the desperation of people who cross a large part of Africa trying to reach European territory in search of a better life and more dignified. It also demonstrates the cruelty and inhumanity of rulers who install sharp blades on these barriers in order to intentionally hurt those who try to cross, and do not hesitate to use rubber bullets and bombs tear against migrants trying still to cross the border. Indeed, various sources have reported the use of rubber bullets towards migrants, piercing buoys they used to cross the border and swim, causing the drowning of several of them.

Moreover, it has been demonstrated irrefutably, the practice of illegal expulsions of migrants at the border, as well as in Ceuta or Melilla. Contrary to Spanish law on foreigners as the European Directive 2008/115 / EC, the Spanish authorities would re migrants at the border with Morocco, even without an analysis of their situation, while many sub-Saharan which trying to cross the border as refugees, asylum seekers and / or victims of human trafficking.

The Spanish Interior Minister in person, Jorge Fernández Díaz, acknowledged the existence of such processes, "in specific cases." But he did not draw the consequences, has not taken the necessary measures to stop such practices including video recordings reflect the daily character, did not sanction their authors or intended to resign.

Faced with these dramatic events, the explanations provided by the Spanish Government are not only inadequate but, more importantly, mutually contradictory and contradicted by the evidence.
We, refugees , migrants and other oraniosation, requires that light be shed on the actual circumstances of the events in Ceuta and Melilla.
